Annual – The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship – Indigenous Australian Health 2010 – Curtin University of Technology


Scholarship Introduction:

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, and administered by Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA).
The aim of the Scheme is to help address the under-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in health professions and assist in increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with professional health qualifications.
Scholarships will be available for students who wish to study in 2009 at the undergraduate level in the areas of:
• Aboriginal Health Worker;
• Allied Health (excluding pharmacy);
• Dentistry/Oral Health;
• Health Service Management;
• Health Promotion/Education;
• Medicine;
• Mental Health;
• Midwifery; and
• Nursing.

Eligibility for Scholarship:

Applicants must identify as and be able to prove their Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status.
