Australia Microfluidics PhD Scholarship 2009 – The Australia Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN)

Scholarship Introduction:
The Australia Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) has a multidisciplinary focus with leading-edge researchers working at the interface of the biological, chemical and physical sciences. The Institute’s research focuses on improving human health and quality of life. The School of Pharmacy at The University of Queensland has a supportive postgraduate student environment including a scheme to encourage research presentations at international conferences in the final year of candidature. The project will focus on the design, fabrication and characterization of microfluidic devices for the preparation of drug delivery vectors. The candidate will also be involved in assessing the efficacy of the derived vectors in vitro and in vivo in various tumor models.

Eligibility for Scholarship:
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent.
