Detail:
This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage-Projects grant and will provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD. The objective of the research project is to measure and model the aerial motion of platform and springboard divers and to develop optimal control to improve performance.

Eligibility:
Applicants should have completed an Honours 1 or 2A degree in mathematics or engineering. Experience/background in geometric mechanics, biomechanics, or motion control would be an advantage. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. International students can apply, but the scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by international students.

Amount awarded:
The scholarship stipend is $27,222 per annum (tax exempt). Please note that this scholarship is conditional on the University formalising an agreement with the NSW Institute of Sport.
