<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Introduction :</strong> The Singapore Ministry of Education has established a four-year fellowship scheme for new doctoral students at NTU or NUS who will conduct their research at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART Centre).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The establishment of this Fellowship Programme is intended to attract to NTU and NUS the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond and educate them to be future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond. The Fellowship will provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre and provide them with the opportunity to be co-advised by an MIT faculty member. The student may spend up to six months doing research at MIT.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Awards :</strong> The SMA3 Graduate Fellowship at SMART provides:<br />
Up to four years of full tuition fees at the student’s home university;<br />
A monthly stipend of S$3,200;<br />
A scholarly allowance of up to S$12,000 to help cover the expenses associated with a six month research residency at MIT; and co-supervision by an MIT and NTU/NUS faculty.<span> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Eligibility:</strong> A student must:<br />
have graduated with an undergraduate degree with first class or second-upper (or equivalent);<br />
be an incoming new PhD student not currently matriculated;<br />

<p><strong>Scholarship Description:</strong><br />
The ACCA Nurture Scholarship award opens up opportunities to the best of both worlds. Successful candidates will gain a world class accounting qualification, and subsequently develop and build a career with international service firms. Two joint awards are available in 2011 – KPMG LLP and Helmi Talib &amp; Co. These awards are for the July 2011 semester (first examination December 2011).<br />
A Singapore or a Singapore Permanent Resident as at 1 January 2011.<br />
b. Aged between 18 and 23 as at 1 January 2011.<br />
c. Have the minimum of two GCE ‘A’ Levels and three GCSEs (‘O’ Levels) or equivalent in five<br />
separate subjects, including English and Mathematics, or its equivalent.<br />
d. Prepared to pursue the ACCA examinations as a full-time student.<br />
e. Is not currently employed, and will not be employed either in a full-time or a part-time capacity<br />
for the whole duration of the scholarship (3 years).<br />

The Scholarship does not carry a work bond and for every successful applicant, the following are available:<br />
• Partial scholarships for Master’s Degrees valued at SGD 10,000 each<br />

• Partial scholarships for Advanced Diplomas valued at SGD 3,000 each<br />

Written test will include General Ability, Mathematics and English. Interviews will be held in June 2011. Board Exam mark sheets to be provided on declaration of results.</p>

These awards will provide a unique opportunity for recent or soon to be Ph.D. graduates to participate in the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre in Singapore, and to become members of an alumni network that we anticipate will continue to evolve and expand over the years.</p>

SMART is MIT&#8217;s first, and to-date only, research centre outside the United States.  It is also MIT&#8217;s largest international research programme.   MIT faculty members have laboratories at SMART, mentor postdoctoral associates and graduate students, and collaborate with universities, research institutes and industries in Singapore and Asia.</p>
<p><strong>Details:</strong><br />
The Singapore Ministry of Education has established a four-year fellowship scheme for new doctoral students at NTU or NUS who will conduct their research at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART Centre).<br />
The establishment of this Fellowship Programme is intended to attract to NTU and NUS the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond and educate them to be future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond. The Fellowship will provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre and provide them with the opportunity to be co-advised by an MIT faculty member. The student may spend up to six months doing research at MIT.</p>
<p><strong><span id="more-7356"></span>Eligibility:</strong><br />
A student must:<br />
have graduated with an undergraduate degree with first class or second-upper (or equivalent);<br />
be an incoming new PhD student not currently matriculated;<br />

<p><strong>About GIIS Singapore:<br />
</strong>Situated in the heart of Singapore,Queenstown is home to Singapore&#8217;s oldest university, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and first polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic. There are also a number of industrial parks, namely Science Park I and II at South Buona Vista Road, near NUS and National University Hospital.</p>
<p><strong>Details:<br />
</strong>The scholarship worth S$ 66,000* per student includes all tuition fees and boarding expenses. This scholarship amount also includes an annual allowance of S$2400, settling allowance of S$500, one time return airfare from India to Singapore. Subsidized medical benefits will also be given. No bond is attached to GIIS Scholarship.</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility:</strong><br />
Minimum 85% or equivalent grade in Std 10 Pre-Board exam, in Stds 8 &amp; 9 final exams, CBSE or IGCSE or ICSE or any State Board (with English as 1st language). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test in April 2011 to be held at Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Surat and Trichy. Written test will include General Ability, Mathematics and English. Interviews will be held in June 2011. Board Exam mark sheets to be provided on declaration of results.</p>

<p><strong>Scholarship Description:</strong> We are now accepting qualified applications for the SMART 2011 Scholars Programme. These awards will provide a unique opportunity for recent or soon to be PhD graduates to participate in the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre in Singapore, and to become members of an alumni network that we anticipate will continue to evolve and expand over the years.<br />
The awards, to be given annually, are open to those with less than three years postdoctoral experience and provided they have received their doctoral degree by September 1, 2011.
