FESM PhD STUDENTSHIP 2011 – WU, CANADA
PhD Studentship 2011 in Finite Element Simulations of Microsensors of University of Waterloo in Canada
About Waterloo:
In just half a century, the University of Waterloo, located at the heart of Canada’s Technology Triangle, has become one of Canada’s leading comprehensive universities with 30,000 full- and part-time students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
Detail:
Microsensor R&D benefits to a great extent from finite element simulations because design variations can be characterized on a computer. This is highly relevant to our industrial partners. We need a new graduate student to help us with thermal and mechanical simulations of microsensors integrated on silicon chips, used for joining process studies for the microelectronic industry.
Requirements:
- university degree in engineering or science .
- good grasp of basic laws of physics .
- strong communication skills.
Application deadline: Oct. 31st 2010
