HSF MASSMUTUAL COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS 2009: AFRICAN/AMERICAN – ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER – HISPANIC STUDENTS

HSF/ MassMutual Multicultural College Scholarship

Through the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the MassMutual Financial Group is offering scholarships to assist outstanding minority students.  This scholarship is open to African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander American and Hispanic undergraduate students in selected geographic locations and in selected majors. The award amount is $5,000 to be disbursed in Fall 2009.

Eligibility Requirements
Be of African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander American or Hispanic heritage
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Be currently enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior in the 2008-2009 academic year
Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2009-2010 academic year
Be majoring in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Mathematics or Statistics
Students must reside in one of the following metropolitan areas:  Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, or San Francisco
Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
