HSF/CIEN ANOS SCHOLARSHIP – 2009

HSF/Cien Anos Scholarship for undergraduate students in Arizona/South California

Introduction:

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Cien Años have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latino undergraduate students who reside and attend school in Arizona or Southern California.  Applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of application.  Preference will be given to students who demonstrate a high level of community involvement.Award amounts generally range from $1,250 to $10,000.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be of Hispanic heritage. 
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must currently reside in Arizona or the Southern California region 
  • Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in
  • Arizona or the Southern California region during the 2009-2010 academic year.
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application
