KICKSTART SCHOLARSHIPS 2010- UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND
University of Auckland scholarships for New Zealand residents 2010
The Faculty of Engineering is committed to remove financial barriers for potential students. We will provide 24 ‘Kick Start’ Scholarships in 2010. These will be a one year award of $2000 aimed at assisting first year students with ’setting up’ costs for their first year at The University of Auckland.
The Scholarships are open only to New Zealand Citizens and New Zealand Permanent Residents.
Kick Start Merit Scholarships
There will be ten Kick Start Merit Scholarships offered (including the Edward Connelly Scholarships).
Requirements:
These Scholarships will be awarded to the applicants with the best academic results in their final year of high school.
The Scholarships are open to all New Zealand Citizens and New Zealand Permanent Residents.
The recipients of these Scholarships will be notified prior to 27 February 2010.
Kick Start City of Sails Scholarships
There will be ten Kick Start City of Sails Scholarships offered.
Requirements:
Restricted to applicants who live beyond the Auckland metropolitan area.
The definition for the Auckland metropolitan area is that your normal permanent home address is in New Zealand and placed either north of Orewa or south of Drury.
The awards will be based on an applicant’s academic results in their final year of high school.
The Scholarship are open to all New Zealand Citizens and New Zealand Permanent Residents.
The recipients of these Scholarships will be notified prior to 27 February 2010.
Kick Start Affirmative Action Scholarships
There will be four Kick Start Affirmative Action Scholarships offered.
Available to students of Maori or Pacific Island background.
Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
The awards will be based on an applicant’s academic merit, personality and drive to make a difference.
Requirements:
The Scholarships are open to all New Zealand Citizens and New Zealand Permanent Residents.
The recipients of these Scholarships will be notified prior to 27 February 2010.
