MEDIA GENERAL MULTIMEDIA FELLOWSHIP
Description: Four post-graduate fellows will be selected to work for nine months in one of Media General’s cross-owned markets. The fellows will divide their time between the newspaper, the television station and the Web site. They will primarily produce content to be presented across all platforms.
Eligibility:
The fellowships are open to applicants who completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree within 12 months before the start of the fellowship.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a valid driver’s license.
Guidelines: Priority will be given to applicants who have demonstrated experience and ability in at least one media platform and interest in a career in multimedia journalism.
Apply: Complete the application form and return it with resume, cover letter and six to 10 newspaper clips or other writing samples. DVDs, CDs or links to Web sites on which the applicant has worked may also be submitted, but the writing samples are required. Application deadline is March 2, 2009. Fellows who have been selected for the program will be notified by early April.

Salary: Fellows will be paid at a rate approximately equal to that of entry-level reporters in the markets to which they are assigned and are eligible to receive relocation assistance.
