Minerals and Energy Research Institute of Western Australia Scholarships 2009 for citizen of Australia
Scholarship Introduction:
The Minerals and Energy Research Institute of Western Australia (MERIWA) awards one or more supplementary or ad hoc scholarships each year to PhD students receiving APRAs, URSs, or the equivalent, to encourage more students to become involved in Minerals and Petroleum research. The value of the scholarships will be $5,000 per year as a stipend for educational purposes and up to $5,000 per year for project maintenance. Scholarships may be of 1, 2 or 3 years duration. Students who have or expect to receive APRAs or URSs, including those already engaged in a research programme, are eligible to apply for the awards. Scholarships will only be available to students involved in research appropriate to the fields of interest of MERIWA: minerals exploration, minerals processing, petroleum exploration, mining or petroleum engineering or rehabilitation allied to the minerals or petroleum industries.
