Overseas Research Scholarship 2010 in University of Manchester UK

Introduction: Overseas Research scholarships (ORS) provide funding to outstanding full time postgraduate research students from outside the UK and European Union. The awards pay the difference between the international rate of PhD tuition fee and UK/EU rate. Therefore successful candidates will still be required to provide funding for the remaining UK fee and living costs. Awards are renewable up to a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Aim: The scholarship program aims at up binging the foreign candidate and exposing these candidate to the highest level of the education providing them an excellent means of establishing the over all career path in the right direction. Thecandidates are therefore given ideal direction in which the candidates can utilize the education sector of the country of United Kingdom. The scholarships offers potential candidates residing outside the country to under take such an event and make the best out of it.

Eligibility:
Candidate must be liable for the international rate of University tuition fee. Candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding research potential and academic achievement. Candidate must not have studied at PhD. Candidate must not have held an ORS award before having established contact with their proposed academic PhD supervisor at Manchester and full support for an award.

For the candidates, it is mandatory for them to be a pass out in the English subject at their Higher Secondary Examination. This allows proper means of communication as well as easy method of transferring the education from one person to other.

The candidate for the polytechnic level can also apply under the given eligibility criteria and should have secured a minimum of 50% in the discipline in which the degree is pertained.
Application Procedure:
Applicant have to complete Overseas Post graduate Research Studentships application form and submit it online before the last date of submission.

Candidate must submit all copies of previous degree of qualification, Degree transcripts, IELTS/TOEFL Score and CV along with admission form.

The applicant under the scholarship program can also get a chance to earn various awards in different genera’s.

Important Dates:
Last date for submission of completed application form: Second Week of February, 2010.  Submission of the form after the given last date results in cancellation of the form as well as the applications.
