PhD POSITIONS 2009 – DFG PRIORITY PROGRAM

DFG priority program PhD positions – open to any nationality
Several PhD Positions will be available from October 2009 within the  recently started DFG Priority Program 1399 -Host-Parasite Coevolution  – Rapid Reciprocal Adaptation and its Genetic Basis’

Research areas include Evolutionary Biology, Parasitology, Genomics,  Immunology, Bioinformatics, and more.

The priority program offers cutting edge, cross-disciplinary  research. Host-parasite coevolution is used as a powerful and  versatile model for analysing the causes and processes of  evolutionary adaptation across scales (from genomes to ecosystems).

The program is funded by the German Science Foundation (Deutsche  Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) across various locations in Germany:  Berlin, Bonn, Gießen, Halle, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Kiel, Köln,  Leipzig, München, Münster, Osnabrück, Plön, Regensburg.

Eligibility

  • We invite applications from highly qualified candidates of any  nationality.
  •  Women are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Preference  will be given to disabled applicants in case of equivalent  qualification.
