PHD STUDENTSHIPS 2009 IN UNIVERSITY OF PLYMOUTH – HEALTH / SOCIAL WORK
University of Plymouth – Faculty of Health & Social Work – FT PhD studentship
We are seeking to attract PhD candidates of outstanding ability to join our exciting and rapidly expanding programmes of research. We are pleased to offer a range of PhD studentships and scholarships for high calibre applicants to undertake projects relating to our programmes of research.
The project:
Applicants are encouraged to look at the research group pages on the Faculty website www.plymouth.ac.uk/pages/view.asp?page=13384 and develop proposals that relate to existing research activity in the Faculty.
Eligibility: Applicants should either have graduated with a relevant first degree (2.1 honours degree or equivalent) or Master’s degree or be in their final year of undergraduate study who are able to demonstrate the motivation and attitude necessary to succeed in these prestigious positions. International (non-EU) applicants must also meet the University requirements for English language IELTS.
Award:
Stipend of £12,300 per year (tax free), subject to satisfactory progress.
Full fees at the Home/EU rate, subject to satisfactory progress
Candidates from countries outside the European Union will be liable for the difference between ‘home student fees’ and ‘overseas student fees’ (see www.plymouth.ac.uk/pages/view.asp?page=22926).
