Principal’s Recommendation Award 2009 – Curtin University of Technology

Scholarship Introduction:

Principal’s Recommendation awards are available to students enrolling as a new undergraduate student at Curtin in 2010 who have been nominated by their High School Principal.

Each High School Principal can nominate two students and they can be nominated based on any of the following criteria;

· Academic merit

· Showing most improvement during their high school studies

· Potential to achieve at University

· Adverse personal circumstances

· Financial difficulties

Nomination forms are forwarded to each WA High School Principal directly. The award will provide a one off cash payment of $1,500 to assist with costs associated with studying (textbooks, incidental expenses etc).

Eligibility for Scholarship:

Nominees must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for the Principal’s Recommendation Award:

  1. · Be an Australian citizen, holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian visa, Permanent Resident visa or a New Zealand citizen;
  2. · Have selected Curtin University of Technology through TISC as a first or second preference to undertake an undergraduate degree;
  3. · Be undertaking the first year of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University of Technology in 2009;
  4. · Be eligible for a commonwealth supported place
