SPORTS SCHOLARSHIPS 2009/10 – UK / EU ATHLETES – BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY
Sports Scholarships – September 2009 or January 2010 entry (UK/EU) – Bournemouth University
If you are a demon on the rugby field or an accomplished athlete, a Sports Scholarship might be for you. You will be expected to represent the University in your chosen sport and in return, we will help you pay for your tuition fees with a non-repayable reward.
- Offered to students who can demonstrate that they are a talented sportsperson and have a desire to continue to develop in their sports skills, as well as their academic profile.
- You will be expected to be representing your sport at national or junior international level or be able to demonstrate the potential to compete at this level.
- There are 15 Sports Scholarships available, to be shared between undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- The value of the award is £1,000 per level of study and is paid in two instalments in kind ie either by covering the cost of equipment or tuition.
- You must be a student from the UK or the EU to apply but it does not matter if you are studying a full or part-time course.
- All postgrduate courses offered are covered.

The deadline for applications is 14 November 2009 for full-time students and 1 September 2009 for part-time students.
For January 2010 entrants the deadline will be 26 February 2010.
Please note that you may be required to attend an interview. You will be informed of the outcome within two weeks of completion of the selection process.
