<p><strong>Scholarship Introduction:</strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Principal’s Recommendation awards are available to students enrolling as a new undergraduate student at Curtin in 2010 who have been nominated by their High School Principal.</p>
<p>Each High School Principal can nominate two students and they can be nominated based on any of the following criteria;
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Academic merit</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Showing most improvement during their high school studies</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Potential to achieve at University</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Adverse personal circumstances</p>
<p><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Financial difficulties</p>
<p>Nomination forms are forwarded to each WA High School Principal directly. The award will provide a one off cash payment of $1,500 to assist with costs associated with studying (textbooks, incidental expenses etc).</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility for Scholarship:</strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12pt;">Nominees must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for the Principal’s Recommendation Award:</p>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Be an Australian citizen, holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian visa, Permanent Resident visa or a New Zealand citizen;</li>
<li><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Have selected Curtin University of Technology through TISC as a first or second preference to undertake an undergraduate degree;</li>
<li><span style="font-family: Symbol;">·</span><span> </span>Be undertaking the first year of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University of Technology in 2009;</li>

This is Curtin University of Technology&#8217;s most generous and prestigious scholarship program. Students selected as John Curtin Undergraduate Scholars have excelled in a wide range of endeavours, and have lent their talents and energies to the community around them.<br />
<strong><br />
Eligibility for Scholarship:</strong><br />
Nominees must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for the John Curtin Undergraduate scholarships:<br />
•  Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and engagement in community service<br />
•  Be a current year 12 student in the top five per cent of their graduating year and be nominated by the school principal,<br />
or<br />
Be a mature age person, and be nominated by a professional educator who can verify their academic excellence.<br />
•  Have selected Curtin University of Technology as a first preference through TISC to undertake an undergraduate degree<br />

Curtin University of Technology<br />
The Institute of Theoretical Physics Scholarship is available to a student who is interested in pursing a career in physics and has demonstrated a high-level of academic achievement.<br />
<strong><br />
Eligibility for Scholarship:</strong><br />
•  CUSPC &#8211; Bachelor of Science majoring in (Physics) and will progress into a double major in either Physics &amp; Mathematical Science Major or Physics &amp; Scientific Computing Major in 2nd year.<br />
Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for the Institute of Theoretical Physics Scholarship:<br />
•  Receive a TER of 98.00 or above, or exceptional performance in Mathematics and Physics<br />

<p><strong><br />
Scholarship Introduction: </strong><br />
The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, and administered by Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA).<br />
The aim of the Scheme is to help address the under-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in health professions and assist in increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with professional health qualifications.<br />
Scholarships will be available for students who wish to study in 2009 at the undergraduate level in the areas of:<br />
•  Aboriginal Health Worker;<br />
•  Allied Health (excluding pharmacy);<br />
•  Dentistry/Oral Health;<br />
•  Health Service Management;<br />
•  Health Promotion/Education;<br />
•  Medicine;<br />
•  Mental Health;<br />
•  Midwifery; and<br />
•  Nursing.<br />

Eligibility for Scholarship:</strong><br />
Applicants must identify as and be able to prove their Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status.<br />
