<td>BHP Billiton donates a sum of money annually to provide up to four scholarships each valued at $50,000 per annum to encourage students who have demonstrated academic excellence and an interest in economic, business or management issues relevant to the resources sector to undertake the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree course or other Master’s degree by coursework in the UWA Business School at The University of Western Australia (the University).<span id="more-499"></span></p>
<h2>Value</h2>
<p>The value of the scholarship is $50,000 per annum for the duration of the course.</p>
<p><em>Note: Where the duration of the course is less than two years, the value of the scholarship in the second year is pro-rated according to the length of the course for which the scholarship is awarded.</em></p>
<h2>Eligibility</h2>
<p>To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship an applicant must –</p>
<p>(a) have been accepted for enrolment in the MBA course, or other Masters by coursework; and<br />
(b) pass the written scholarship eligibility test prescribed by the UWA Business School, at a grade of distinction or higher.</p>
<p>To be eligible to take up the scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled in not less than four (4) units per semester or trimester. At least one scholarship each year is awarded to an eligible female applicant. If, in any year, there is no eligible female applicant, all available scholarships may be awarded to male applicants.</p>

<h2>Application Procedure</h2>
<p>Written applications addressing the selection criteria must be accompanied by:</p>
<p>(a) a statement outlining the applicant’s experience and/or interest in economic, business or management issues relevant to the resources sector.</p>
<p><em>Note: This can encompass, for example, research addressing the social, environmental and economic impact of mining and resources industries on the regional, national and international economies. It can explore both the direct operations of mining and resource management, and their indirect effects on the wider community.</em></p>
<p>(b) a curriculum vitae that includes at least the following information -<br />
(i) academic achievements such as prizes and scholarships;<br />
(ii) employment experience;<br />
(iii) the names of two referees;<br />
(iv) leadership positions held at university, in the community and in the workplace;</p>
<p>For applicants who have undertaken study at a tertiary institution other than the University, a copy of the applicant’s academic record from that institution must be provided.</p>
<p>Applicants must undertake the scholarship eligibility test prescribed for the purpose by the UWA Business School at a time and place to be advised by the UWA Business School.</p>
<p>Applications must be submitted to the Faculty Administrative Officer of the UWA Business School.</p>

<h3>The University of Edinburgh Sichuan Province Master&#8217;s Scholarships</h3>
<p>Following the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, the University will offer two Master&#8217;s scholarships for students from the Sichuan Province undertaking an eligible postgraduate Master&#8217;s degree programme offered by the University of Edinburgh.</p>

NHTV will determine whether you are eligible for a scholarship.<br />

6. With this admission letter, you can apply directly for a NUFFIC scholarship with the NUFFIC<br />

<p>The British Embassy Tashkent welcomes applications from citizens of Uzbekistan for one-year scholarships to read for a Masters degree in Politics at the University of Manchester. The scholarships are funded by the Open Society Institute, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the University of Manchester. They cover tuition, travel and living costs (for one person only) up to 12 months.</p>

<p><strong>GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2009-2010</strong></p>
<p>The Office of International Education&nbsp;(OIE) and the Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies (CUSMS) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) enhances the academic relationship between UTD, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean using an interdisciplinary approach to focus on international education, research, and public service programs. OIE and CUSMS invite citizens from country members of the OAS to participate applying for graduate scholarships through the Agreement of Collaboration between UTD and the Organization of American States (OAS). The UTD-OAS scholarship includes one round trip airfare, living expenses, tuition and fees, and health insurance.<span id="more-267"></span><br />

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION</strong></p>
<p>The application for the UTD-OAS scholarship may be accomplished through two different ways: (1) self placed scholarships and (2) OAS-placed scholarships.<br />
<strong><br />
1. SELF PLACED SCHOLARSHIPS</strong></p>
<p>Candidates must apply directly to The University of Texas at Dallas. Simultaneously candidates have to apply to the National Liaison Office (NLO) in his/her home country. Fellowships awards depend on the submission of the admission letter to complete the file for review and deliberation. Each NLO define its own calendar for the submission of application paper work, including the admission letter from UTD. Please verify dates directly in the NLO of your country.</p>

<p>UTD-OAS scholars will are sponsored by the Inter American Agency for Cooperation and Development (IACD) and UTD. IACD will sponsor the first half of the academic programs (first year for master programs&nbsp;and two first years for Ph.D. programs). UTD will sponsor the second half of the academic programs (second year for master programs and third and fourth years for Ph.D. programs).</p>

<strong>Application criteria:</strong><br />
The applicant must<br />
• be eligible for admission to a master level program at the Graduate School of Business in Wollongong or Sydney<br />
• be making his or her first application to study in the Graduate School of Business after 12 August 2008<br />
• be the holder of a bachelor degree with a minimum GPA equivalence to an Australian bachelor degree of 2.75 (on a 4-point scale)<br />
• be commencing his or her first course at the Graduate School of Business in Autumn session 2009 (at Wollongong campus) or intake A or B (at the Sydney campus)<br />
• be an international student<br />
• not receive any advanced standing/credit exemption into the master degree studies at the Graduate School of Business</p>
<p><strong>Application procedure:</strong><br />
The applicant must<br />
• apply for the scholarship before 14th December 2008<br />
• complete and submit the scholarship form together with the course application form, including evidence of graduation (in the form of a recognised certificate of graduation) and a full transcript of studies undertaken as part of the bachelor course.</p>
<p><strong>Apply:</strong><br />
The application can be submitted directly or through an accredited agent or representative of the University of Wollongong.<br />
All applications will be assessed by the scholarship committee, and applicants will be advised of the outcome by email on 21 December 2008.<br />
In order to be eligible to take up the scholarship, the successful applicants<br />
• must have maintained a 60% average in each semester of study at the Graduate School of Business<br />
• must not have taken a leave of absence and must have maintained a full-time study load during each semester/term of study<br />
• must hold international student status at the time of the award</p>
<p><strong>Awarding of the scholarship:</strong><br />
• the scholarship will be confirmed following the release of results in the penultimate (second last) semester/term of study, and prior to the commencement of his or her last semester/term of study<br />
• awardees will receive the scholarship in the form of a discounted tuition fee in the final session of study.</p>
<p><strong>Other conditions:</strong><br />
1. The scholarship must be taken up in the session of study for which it is awarded, and cannot be transferred to another student, or deferred; nor redeemed for a cash payment or rebate or in-kind payment.<br />
2. The determination of equivalence of the staus and GPA equivalence of the applicant’s bachelor degree is solely that of the University of Wollongong, and is not subject to appeal.</p>

<p>Scholarships for students who have been admitted to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics <span id="more-125"></span></p>
<p>The Zaragoza Logistics Center Scholarship currently provides around 20 scholarships each year for students of the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics &amp; Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.</p>
<p>Through ZLOG Eastern and Central Europe Scholarship, the Foundation hopes to attract outstanding future leaders from Eastern and Central European countries. Candidates will be expected to show extraordinary potential for leadership and professional success, bringing new vision and commitment to the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.</p>
<p><strong>Stipend:</strong><br />
The scholarship provides full tuition and administrative fees for the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics &amp; Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program, which amounts to €21,500 to a student of the academic year 2009-2010.<br />
The scholarship will not include other costs such as living or travel expenses to Zaragoza or to Boston for the international<br />
exchange.</p>
<p><strong>Selection criteria and process</strong><br />
Competition for the ZLOG scholarships is intense and highly competitive.<br />
The candidates will be chosen on the basis of:<br />
Ability to make a significant contribution to the discipline of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, with a strong aptitude for analysis and a creative approach to defining and solving problems.<br />
Recognition of the importance of personal integrity and ethical decision making.<br />
Enthusiastic pursuit of self-improvement and a desire to be at the forefront in the creation and discovery of new knowledge.<br />
Experience and interest in working in multicultural teams.</p>
<p><strong>Deadline:</strong> The deadline for the ZLOG Eastern and Central Europe Scholarship application is March 15th 2009.</p>
