<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>About Sir Ratan Tata:<br />
</strong>The founder of the Tata Empire, Jamsetji Tata, was a true nationalist who foresaw the significance of the industrial revolution for India. He had a desire to catapult India to a place amongst the leading industrial nations of the world. Sir Ratan Tata, the younger of his two sons, was born on 20th January 1871. He was educated at St. Xavier&#8217;s College in Bombay.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Detail:</strong><br />
The Sir Ratan Tata Trust awards scholarships to students studying in India covering tuition fee, at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Hostel and other fee are not covered under the scholarship. For the financial year 2010 -11, scholarship forms from the Trust Office will be issued to the following course of study only: <span id="more-6025"></span>Sr. No. Course Undergraduate Postgraduate<br />

4 Catering &amp; Hotel Management<br />

5 Fine Arts (BFA/MFA) 2nd year onwards 1st year onwards<br />
6 LL.B. (three year course) 1st year onwards -<br />
7 LL.B. (five year course) 2nd year onwards -<br />
8 LL.M &#8211; 1st year onwards<br />
9 Education (B.Ed./M.Ed.) 1st year onwards 1st year onwards<br />
10 MCA/MCM &#8211; 1st year onwards</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">· Students will NOT be issued forms if: (a) waived from paying tuition fee;<br />
(b) received full scholarship from trusts / organisations; (c) receiving stipend.<br />
· All students who have passed their 12th (HSC) and have secured admission to<br />
the 1st year pharmacy, nursing, architectural or LLB (five year) courses are NOT<br />
eligible for the scholarship.<br />
· No forms will be issued to students studying diploma, part-time, correspondence<br />
or certificate courses.<br />
· Only one student per family may benefit from the scholarship, each year.<br />
1. Undergraduate/Postgraduate students studying in law, catering and hotel<br />
management, education and fine arts the cut off percentages is 70.<br />
2. For MCA/MCM the cut off percentage is 70.<br />
3. The cut off percentage for students studying in postgraduate pharmacy is<br />
75.<br />
4. The cut-off percentage for students studying in postgraduate nursing is 70.<br />
5. The cut off percentage for students studying in postgraduate architecture is 70.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Application process:</strong><br />
· Current year’s tuition fee receipt (April 2010 &#8211; March 2011) and / or for second year direct admission students, centralised admission letter.<br />
· Mark sheet of the last year examination appeared for.

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Note:</strong> Please Note that the issue of Scholarship Application Form DOES NOT guarantee scholarship from the Trust and the Trust’s decision would be final.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Outstation students meeting the Trust criteria may send the above mentioned documents by POST to the Trust Office latest by September 2, 2010.</p>
